The Ohio Wesleyan women’s lacrosse team is looking forward to a competitive yet fun-filled 2026 season.

OWU women’s lacrosse was ranked fifth in the North Coast Athletic Conference preseason poll for the upcoming season. The team is eager to put in the work and aims to surpass that
Senior captains Abbie Grogan and Madeline Lundin are excited to build upon their last season’s success and continue to improve as a team.
“This year's team has a different connectivity compared to last year. The freshman came in and meshed with all of us immediately, and every single day, each person is encouraging others and working hard for our teammates,” said Grogan.
"With every strong team come challenges, and the team captains reflected on what they believe will be their toughest obstacles this spring."
“I think our biggest challenge will be letting go of the little mistakes. We’re such a passionate and competitive group that it’s easy to be our own toughest critics. But if we can move on quickly and stay focused on the positives, I think we’ll put ourselves in a great position to be really successful,” Lundin said.
The senior captains hope to wrap up their lacrosse careers on a high note and truly believe in their team. Grogan and Lundin look forward to conference play later this season and hope to reach their full potential as a program.
“This team has incredible depth, and everyone genuinely chooses to show up and compete every single day,” said Lundin.
The OWU women’s lacrosse team plays its first home game on March 4 against Ohio Northern.
