The concept of the Milligan Lecture was created by Robert L. Milligan, OWU class of 1922. Ever since 1992, this lecture series has partnered with The Woltemade Center for Economics, Business, & Entrepreneurship to showcase prominent leaders in business.

"The Entrepreneurial Journey: Flexibility, Tenacity and Luck" will be presented by Scott Milligan on October 27th at 7:30 p.m. in the HWCC Benes Room or streaming online.

Scott Milligan graduated from Ohio Wesleyan in 1990 and ever since has been launching his career. Milligan has been the founder and/or executive leader of companies such as Accelitech, SkinCure Oncolog, and PetCure Oncology.

He began as a consultant, but later on used his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Management to spur his business successes. At Accelitech, which he co-founded, Milligan created a vast private network of radiosurgery cancer treatment programs as Chief Development Officer.

During his time with Accelitech, he took part in co-founding SkinCure Oncology, which has over 400 locations of skin cancer treatment facilities. After this, he used his talent to help build and market PetCure Oncology, which has since become a leader in advanced veterinary radiation oncology for pets.

Milligan is currently working as the Group Vice President of Thrive Pet Healthcare, which owns PetCure Oncology.

That being said, Scott Miligan’s business success makes him a perfect candidate for OWU’s Milligan Lecture.

Once again, this lecture is titled "The Entrepreneurial Journey: Flexibility, Tenacity and Luck." On October 27th, Milligan will be sure to enlighten students on entrepreneurship advice, which he used to achieve widespread accomplishments in the business world.
