Ohio Wesleyan University is broadening its partnership with Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management to include a Master of Accountancy, opening new doors for OWU students pursuing advanced business degrees.
With this expansion, Ohio Wesleyan students now have early admission access to four high-demand master’s programs at Case Western Reserve: Business Analytics & Intelligence, Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Accountancy. The agreement also simplifies the path to CWRU by reducing the number of prerequisite courses required for admission.
This collaboration is part of OWU’s strategy to create a coordinated talent pipeline that meets the evolving demands of regional and national employers in business, analytics, and engineering fields. Notably, OWU’s Conrades School of Engineering is set to start enrolling mechanical engineering majors in fall 2027.
Under the expanded agreement, qualified OWU students can apply for early admission into these four Weatherhead master’s programs during their junior year without an
application fee. Those accepted will receive scholarships of at least $10,000, with opportunities for additional merit-based aid.
“Ohio Wesleyan is committed to creating opportunities for our students, and we’re thrilled to expand our collaboration with the prestigious Weatherhead School of Management,” said Provost Karlyn Crowley.
“By combining OWU’s liberal arts perspective with CWRU’s advanced business training, our students are better positioned to become leaders in their fields, wherever their careers take them.” Crowley emphasized the university’s interdisciplinary approach: “At OWU, business education isn’t isolated. Students engage in coursework across multiple disciplines, applied research, entrepreneurial projects, and real-world consulting, building a seamless path from undergraduate studies to advanced professional credentials.”
Weatherhead Dean Andrew Medvedev added, “Employers need graduates who can analyze complex problems, communicate effectively, and make smart, timely decisions. This partnership provides a direct route for OWU students into our graduate programs, preparing them for the real-world challenges companies face in accounting, analytics, finance, and supply chain management.”
