The Ohio Wesleyan University women’s volleyball team topped off Homecoming weekend with a moment to remember, receiving their championship rings in celebration of their 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference title.
Players, coaches, and alumni gathered Saturday at Branch Rickey Arena as the team was honored for last fall’s championship run. The ring ceremony came nearly a year after Ohio Wesleyan claimed its first NCAC crown since 1996, defeating Denison in straight sets in the conference final.
“It’s special to be able to come back together and celebrate with everyone here on Homecoming,” Senior Lily Bechina said. “The rings are a symbol of all the hard work this team put in and the support we had from our fans.”
The Battling Bishops finished the 2024 season winning the NCAC Conference Tournament and advancing to the NCAA Division III tournament.
The ceremony was a chance to close the chapter on a historic season. “It feels amazing to hold something that shows everything we accomplished together,” Senior Reagan Brake said. “We’ll carry these memories forever.”
The ring presentation highlighted a weekend of festivities that brought alumni, students, and families to campus to celebrate Women’s Volleyball's historic 2024 season.
