The Bigelow Reed House at 23 Williams Drive has taken on a new role this year as the official Panhellenic and Women in Leadership residence at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Renovated in 2010 and dedicated in 2011, the house is named for William F. Bigelow, Class of 1905, and John Reed, Honorary Class of 2004. The house has always been a special spot for learning and community, previously as the residence for those interested in Business, and now it’s focused on supporting women leaders and Panhellenic life at OWU.

Located in Fraternity Circle, Bigelow-Reed is surrounded by other fraternity housing, which makes it feel like part of the heart of Greek life on campus while still giving women their own dedicated space to build community.

The house is open to any woman interested in building community, growing as a leader, and supporting others. Members of OWU’s National Panhellenic sororities live in the house alongside students committed to leadership, mentorship, and campus engagement.

“I love that OWU has now offered a nice building for Panhellenic women to be housed. Bigelow Reed is now a house that brings people together, whether it is through leadership or Greek life” Junior Madelyn Browning said.

Residents are encouraged to support one another while promoting service, curiosity, and success. By combining the strengths of Panhellenic life with the mission of women in leadership, Bigelow-Reed has become a space for students dedicated to making an impact.
