Many Ohio Wesleyan Students have been eagerly awaiting March 7th, the first day of spring break. It is no secret that weeks of classes take a mental toll on students, and spring break offers college students an opportunity to rest and recover from their demanding college schedules.
A dedicated break provides students with a mental reset, allowing them to step away from the stress and grind of college. Spring break helps improve focus, motivation, and overall well-being. Beyond relaxation, this break provides students with opportunities to grow.
Whether it is traveling to a vacation area, going home to visit family, or even just staying on campus, students can use this time for personal development.
Spring break can also be used to get back on schedule. The constant pressure of deadlines can disrupt good habits, like getting high-quality sleep, exercising, or reading. The time given can help students reestablish these habits, giving them a boost until the end of the semester.
Ultimately, spring break is not just a week of vacation; it is a beneficial pause. When used intentionally, students will return to campus feeling refreshed, focused, and ready to take on the final stretch of the school year. So, Bishops, use this time as a breath of fresh air to prepare for the end of the year.
