Looking for new places to explore near campus? Downtown Delaware is full of local businesses that have become favorites among Ohio Wesleyan students.

One of downtown's new additions is Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop. It has quickly become an Ohio Wesleyan favorite.

From candy and soda to ice cream, the shop offers more than 250 candy bars, over 100 varieties of bulk candy, and hundreds of different sodas. On a budget? Check out the candy buffet, where you can fill a box with candy for just $5.

Gameplay Unlimited is popular with gamers. You can buy, sell, and trade video games for a variety of consoles, including Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox.

The store also offers refurbished gaming systems, making it a great stop for fans of classic and vintage games. Gameplay Unlimited is also home to one of the largest Funko Pop collections in Delaware.

Fresh Start Café and Bakery is a favorite coffee and study spot among students. The café serves made-from-scratch coffee drinks, baked goods, and menu items in a student-friendly atmosphere. A fresh cup of coffee or a quality breakfast makes an ideal way to start the day.

If you love music, visit Endangered Species: The Last Record Store on Earth. The store features a wide selection of artists and genres, with music available on vinyl records, CDs, and cassette tapes. You may also recognize the store’s most famous resident, Gary the record store cat, an Ohio Wesleyan celebrity.

These are just a few of the places downtown that Ohio Wesleyan students enjoy. Which stop will you visit first?
