Receive Support From OWU's Writing Center

With the end of the spring semester coming to a close, it is not lost on me the number of written assignments we are tasked with submitting. Over the course of my academic career here at Ohio Wesleyan, I have used the Writing Center for most, if not all, of my serious written assignments that make up a great portion of my grades. Ohio Wesleyan’s Writing Center is an extremely valuable resource that all students should take advantage of.

Starting in 1955, more than a century after the university’s founding in 1842, the Writing Center has become a staple of OWU’s liberal arts education.  It is a place where students can receive help for most, if not all, of their writing assignments. They also help with resumes, cover letters, grad-school application material, personal statements, and scholarship applications.

The Writing Centre is made up of writing consultants and peer-tutors who provide helpful guidance in every area of your writing, including brainstorming ideas, focusing arguments, organising structure, etc. They do it all. The Writing Center is a resource that professors and faculty consistently recommend; even the students who have used the center will tell you the same. I am one of those people.
