Letter from the Editor: Fall 2023 Wrap-Up

Updated: Dec 12, 2023

As we approach the end of the year, the staff of The Transcript reflects back on the work we have completed this semester. We have published 30 articles, hoping to highlight different perspectives on our campus, shed light on issues to be addressed, and cover events that impact our community. We are continuously grateful for the opportunity to do this work, and to our readers for supporting us.

Moving forward, we hope to improve upon our coverage next semester, and new staff members always help us do so, by bringing their own interests, experiences, and voices to the group. We would love for any interested student to join us for the Spring semester. There are opportunities for article writing, social media management, photography, and video content creation. Anyone with interest in earning class credit for any of these things should contact our advisor, Professor John McGory (jrmcgory@owu.edu). Transcript internships are an opportunity for students to earn .25, .5, or a full credit for working on our staff. The time commitment varies based on the amount of credit being earned, so that students are able to commit as much time as works for them to the publication.

Have a restful break, Bishops! We look forward to continuing our work with you all in the Spring.

Sincerely,

Anna Nacci

Managing Editor
